Choose the Production Group
Legacy Model 3 is listed from 2017 through August 2023. Model Y choices run through February 2025 and start in 2020 for US builds, September 2021 for China builds and April 2022 for Germany builds. Highland and Juniper are excluded.
Grip and Cover Are Separate Choices
Black leather and the Alcantara-labeled suede-like grip provide different surface finishes. “No” means no new outer cover is supplied. Lettered black or matching suede-like covers are outer-cover options only, with the SRS restrictions below applying to their installation.

The driver-airbag module is excluded. Optional outer-cover availability does not permit attaching items to an airbag cover, repairing the module or replacing its cover contrary to Tesla’s SRS service requirements.

Installation

Caution
- Tesla service precautions prohibit attaching anything to an airbag cover or trim covering an airbag, and prohibit repairing SRS components. Do not fit an optional cover by attaching it to or altering the original SRS cover contrary to those requirements.
- A lettered or material-matched cover is not an airbag and does not establish deployment compatibility. Retain the original module and cover intact unless the exact vehicle’s approved service information permits the specific replacement.
- Normal function tests do not certify airbag deployment.
Care
- Use material-appropriate gentle cleaning and keep liquids and solvents away from the airbag, electrical interfaces and controls.
- The rectangular profile changes hand positions during parking and tight turns. It is not a universal ergonomic improvement or a guarantee of safer handling.

Does it fit Highland or Juniper?
No. It is listed for the legacy Model 3 and the specified pre-Juniper Model Y factory/date groups.
Is the driver-airbag module included?

What does the “No” cover option mean?
No new outer cover is supplied; the original module and cover stay intact.
Can I attach the optional cover to the existing airbag cover?

Is heating guaranteed for every vehicle?
