Installation

Difficulty: Advanced

Follow the corresponding vehicle and side service procedure. Protect the paint, use the required access and service mode steps, release the actual mounting clips and disconnect the connectors without pulling the wiring; replace damaged mounting parts rather than forcing them.
Install the matching assembly with secure tabs/clips and correctly connected wiring. Perform the applicable DAS reset and clear camera calibration for HW3.0 using the prescribed service routine; do not substitute an HW4 camera-update procedure.
The camera self-calibrates during manual driving.

HW3.0 hardware only; does not fit HW4 / AI4 or Model 3 Highland.
A black camera feed or warning can come from wiring or other system faults; have the fault diagnosed before replacing the assembly.

FAQ

Is this the complete camera assembly or only a cover?

It is a complete side-specific assembly with the camera, turn-signal light, connector body and housing. It is not a cosmetic cover.

How do I choose left or right?

Face forward from inside the car. Left is the vehicle's left fender and right is the vehicle's right fender, regardless of steering-wheel position.

Is calibration needed after installation?

Replacement includes a DAS reset, a camera calibration clear and functional tests. Manual driving is required for self-calibration, and affected Autopilot functions remain unavailable until it completes. Road type and conditions affect the distance required.

Is this an HW4 or AI4 upgrade?

No. It is a like-for-like HW3.0 replacement and does not convert the vehicle to newer camera hardware.
