Installation
- The technician follows the applicable Tesla low-voltage isolation and SRS procedures before removing the original steering wheel or handling its airbag. Touchscreen Power Off alone is not low-voltage isolation.
- Transfer the compatible original middle trim and complete OEM airbag module, install the matching wheel body using the required fasteners and route the harnesses clear of the horn and airbag retention points.
- Complete vehicle-specific software and post-replacement procedures where required. For applicable Model 3 vehicles without a turn stalk, the Tesla service procedure includes a steering-wheel post-replacement routine.
