Original Tray Shape

The pad and lower support are shaped to the original phone tray. The refreshed console uses a different layout and does not fit.

USB Connection

The unit is powered from the vehicle USB supply as described in its manual. Extra splitters do not provide simultaneous charging and data support.

Instalación

Place the charger in the original phone tray and connect it to the vehicle USB port.
Fit the pad according to its manual and route its cables away from hinges, moving covers and storage edges. Do not force it into a refreshed-console layout or improvise a connector conversion.
Connect the pad to the suitable USB supply as specified in its manual. Do not set up simultaneous multiple devices through a hub or rely on the splitters to preserve Dashcam or media recognition.
Remove metal objects and NFC cards, then position the phone with its charging coil aligned.

Precaución

This is the short version without Type-C; the cable-equipped gallery version is not supplied.
Tesla advises against using USB hubs to connect multiple devices because charging or media/Dashcam recognition can fail. The included splitters do not guarantee simultaneous charging and data operation.
Keep coins, metal objects and NFC cards away from the charging surface. Stop using the pad if it overheats, behaves abnormally or cannot hold the phone securely.
Charging stops while the vehicle is asleep.

Disconnect before wiping the housing with a lightly damp soft cloth. Keep liquid out of connectors and allow the pad to dry fully.
Keep the surface free of grit and metal objects.
