Aspectos destacados

Struts, Controller and Latch Kit
The electric strut pair moves the hood, while a separate soft-close actuator handles the final latch movement. Harnesses, brackets and hardware connect and secure the components.

Powered Hood Movement
Opening height and speed settings adjust to the available overhead clearance.
Factory Button Versions
Juniper has separate purchase choices for vehicles with and without a factory frunk button. Model Y Standard and YL have their own listed versions.
Control and Emergency Use
Vehicle commands, internal button and connected app/key methods depend on the installed kit and vehicle setup. The accessory emergency pull cable is for one-time emergency use and requires service after use.

Instalación
- Professionally mount the struts, brackets, controller and latch actuator at the specified locations. Align the hood without bypassing the original primary or secondary latch.
- Connect and protect the power and signal harnesses; route wiring away from moving struts, hinges, water paths and service access.
- Route the accessory emergency cable as instructed and retain the vehicle’s required emergency-opening and release functions. Explain its one-time-use limitation to the owner without pulling it as a routine test.
- Set supported height and speed while parked with all people and objects clear. Test normal commands, original releases and hood-status indications according to the installation procedure without using body parts to test resistance sensing.
Conviene saber
Precaución
- Operate only while parked with the hood area clear of people, tools and obstacles.
- Stop use if a latch, release or hood-status indication behaves incorrectly.
- The supplied emergency cable is described as a one-time emergency function. Do not pull it as a routine test; use disables automatic soft closing and requires service before normal powered use resumes.
- The accessory cable is not the same as Tesla’s external low-voltage release terminals.
Cuidado
- Inspect mounting hardware, harness routing and hood alignment for looseness, rubbing or water exposure.
Preguntas frecuentes
Which version should I choose?
Choose Juniper with or without a factory frunk button based on your actual vehicle, or the separate Model Y Standard 2026+ or Model YL 2026+ choice.
Does every control method work on every vehicle?
Vehicle and key commands, app control, voice/watch shortcuts and pressure-close depend on the kit setup, vehicle equipment and software.
What is the emergency cable limitation?
The accessory cable is described as a one-time emergency pull. After use, automatic soft closing is disabled and service is required before normal powered operation resumes.
Is this cable the original low-voltage emergency release?
No. Tesla’s vehicle procedure uses external low-voltage terminals to release the hood latches; those terminals do not charge the low-voltage battery. The added mechanical cable and the original vehicle procedure must not be confused.
Does anti-pinch sensing replace keeping the area clear?
No. Keep people and objects outside the hood’s movement path and operate while parked.
