Pre-Cut TPU Film for Model Y Front Lamp Surfaces

Aspectos destacados

Position with Water
Wet application lets you move the film into alignment before securing it. This installation example illustrates the method.

Work Toward the Edges
Use a suitable soft-edged squeegee to move water outward. Re-wet and reposition an edge if needed rather than forcing a crease into the film.

Finish with a Soft Towel
Wipe the lens and follow the film instructions for drying and settling before washing.
Choose Finish and Kit Size
Original Model Y and Standard kits contain two pieces; Juniper and YL kits contain five. Clear, smoked and light-reactive photochromic are separate finish choices.

Instalación
- With the lights off and lenses cool, clean the surfaces using a lens-compatible method. Remove dust, grease and residue and work in a clean sheltered area.
- Wet the film and lens as instructed. Position each panel against its matching lens outline without cutting directly on the lamp.
- Slide the film into alignment, then use a suitable squeegee to move water toward the edges. Lift and re-wet an edge where necessary; avoid excessive stretching.
- Wipe with a soft towel and smooth the alignment and edges.
- Allow the film to settle as instructed.
Conviene saber
Precaución
- Smoked and photochromic film reduce light transmission and alter emitted color. None of the finishes carries road approval.
- The pre-cut panels leave cameras, sensors and vents uncovered.
Cuidado
- Keep the film and edges clean with a compatible gentle method; avoid abrasive cleaners and direct pressure washing of edges.
- Inspect lifting, folds, clouding or trapped debris and correct any effect on lamp output.
- Film adds a surface layer; it does not make the lamp immune to stone impact, scratches or heat damage.
