CCS1 and J1772 2-in-1 Charging Adapter for Tesla
Connect a compatible North American-style Tesla/NACS inlet to a CCS1 DC plug or an SAE J1772 AC plug using one adapter. CCS1 DC use requires CCS Adapter Support to be Enabled. The attached cover protects the lower DC contacts during J1772 use or storage. Listed hardware limits are separate from the actual charging rate.
- CCS1 DC / J1772 AC
- Tesla/NACS inlet
- CCS Support Required for DC
- Lower-contact cover
Hauptmerkmale
-
Two Connector Formats
The upper SAE J1772 connection is for AC; the full CCS1 connection includes two lower DC contacts.
-
Vehicle Inlet Match
The vehicle side is for a matching North American-style Tesla/NACS inlet, not every regional Tesla port.
-
Separate AC and DC Limits
Listed hardware limits are 110–250 V and up to 80 A AC, and up to 500 V and 300 A DC.
-
CCS Adapter Support
CCS1 DC use requires vehicle CCS Adapter Support to be Enabled; this adapter cannot add missing hardware support.
-
Attached Contact Cover
The cover closes over the lower DC contacts for J1772 use or storage.
-
PC Housing and Contacts
PC thermoplastic surrounds silver-plated copper-alloy contacts.
-
Actual Charge Rate
Vehicle capability, station output, battery state and temperature determine charging power within the adapter limits.
Highlights

AC Above, DC Contacts Below
The upper J1772 connection handles AC charging. A full CCS1 plug also engages the two lower DC contacts. Does not fit Type 2, CCS2 or CHAdeMO connectors.

Cover the Lower DC Contacts
The attached cover closes over the lower DC contacts during J1772 AC use or storage. Keep the contacts clean and dry.
CCS Support for DC Use
DC use requires Controls > Software > Additional Vehicle Information to show CCS Adapter Support: Enabled. Some vehicles require a service retrofit. This adapter does not add missing vehicle CCS support, and model year alone is insufficient.
Use the Lowest Applicable Limit
Listed adapter limits are up to 500 V / 300 A DC and 110–250 V / 80 A AC. The vehicle and station may support less. Follow the supplied adapter, vehicle and station limits; these figures are not promised charging speeds.

FAQ
Will it work with every Tesla?
No. The physical inlet, market and vehicle charging support must match, and for CCS1 DC charging CCS Adapter Support must show Enabled on the touchscreen.
How fast will my Tesla charge?
Listed hardware limits are up to 500 V / 300 A DC and 110–250 V / 80 A AC. The vehicle, station, battery state and temperature determine actual power within all applicable limits; no fixed charge rate is guaranteed.
Is the adapter waterproof?
No. The listed IP54 dust/splash rating is not a submersion or pressure-wash rating.
What is included?
One CCS1 + J1772 2-in-1 charging adapter with an attached protective cover for the lower DC contacts. The charging cable and a storage case are not included.
