Good to Know
Caution
- Close the slider only while parked and while no camera-dependent function is being used. Before every drive, completely uncover the camera. Remove the entire cover if its frame or aperture obstructs any part of the camera view.
- Opening the slider alone does not establish full camera compatibility.
- Keep adhesive, chemical cleaners and abrasive products away from the camera lens. Keep nearby sensors unobstructed.
Care
- Keep the slider free of dirt. Remove a loose, damaged or obstructing cover.
- Wipe the camera lens gently with a clean soft cloth, without chemical or abrasive cleaners.
FAQ
Can I drive with the slider closed?
No. Keep the entire cabin-camera view unobstructed before every drive. The camera supports driver monitoring and other vehicle functions; this slider must never be used to bypass them.
Does disabling data sharing turn off driver monitoring?
No. Cabin-camera data sharing and driver monitoring are separate functions. For data-sharing preferences, use the vehicle settings and follow the owner manual.
Does an open slider prove camera compatibility?
No. The frame and aperture must also leave the complete camera view clear.
What is included?
Six separate black camera sliders. Other devices shown in photos are examples and are not included.
