Installation
- With the vehicle parked, fit the upper and lower parts onto the corresponding rim sections, leaving the original center airbag cover in place.
- Follow the matching cover instructions to seat each part. Do not force it, drill the wheel, add unapproved adhesive or place any part across the airbag cover or deployment seams.
Good to Know
Caution
- Tesla warns against objects on or near an airbag that could interfere with inflation, including steering wheel covers. These parts fit the rim sections and leave the original airbag cover in place.
Care
- Follow cleaning and removal guidance for the actual carbon finish and foam lining. Avoid solvent cleaners and do not lever against the airbag cover or controls.
