Good to Know

Caution

This is a safety-critical restraint component.
The Tesla SRS procedure requires new, genuine replacement components with clear identification, not repaired SRS parts or components taken from another vehicle.
Follow the complete vehicle-specific restraint-system isolation and installation procedure. A generic low-voltage battery-disconnection step is not a substitute.

Are the left and right assemblies interchangeable?

No. The options identify Front Left reference 1493802-C1-D and Front Right reference 1493803-C1-D.

Is a reference number enough to approve installation?

No. A reference number does not establish genuine-part provenance or safety certification.

Can I use a repaired or second-hand SRS component?

Tesla SRS requirements call for new genuine, clearly identified replacement components, not repaired SRS parts or components taken from another vehicle.

Should I install this assembly myself?

Use a trained restraint-system technician who follows the complete vehicle-specific procedure and performs the required post-installation diagnostics.

Does selecting the part guarantee no warning lights?

No. Vehicle configuration and installation can affect system status.
