- Open the trunk and locate the protruding upper-trunk bolt shown in the fitting example. Do not remove existing vehicle fastening hardware.
- Align the threaded insert and start it by hand. Tighten only until the hook is seated and stable; stop if the threads do not engage cleanly.

- This hook is not a cargo tie-down, towing point, seat-belt or child-restraint attachment. Secure heavy cargo separately using the appropriate vehicle cargo arrangements.
