Plan a DC-Powered Injector and Splitter Setup for Starlink Mini
This power kit is intended for Starlink Mini setups using a DC supply, a PoE injector and a splitter. The conversion description specifies a 9–36 V DC input and a 48 V / 3 A PoE feed, with 10/100/1000M Ethernet support. The Mini receives power through the matched splitter DC output, not by applying powered PoE to its LAN port.

Key Features
-
DC Supply Application
The kit is intended for mobile and off-grid Starlink Mini power setups.
-
Injector and Splitter
The arrangement combines power with a cable run and separates it again at the equipment end.
-
DC Conversion Range
The described input range is 9–36 V DC.
-
Ethernet Support
The networking description includes 10/100/1000M Ethernet support.
-
Mini Connection Planning
A matched splitter DC output powers the Mini separately from its LAN connection.
-
Mobile Setup Use
Plan the complete supply, converter, cable and splitter arrangement for an RV or camper installation.

Good to Know
Caution
- The Starlink Mini LAN port does not accept powered PoE directly. Use the correctly matched splitter DC output for power and the separate Ethernet path for data.
- A DC step-up converter is required to raise a battery voltage to the 48 V PoE feed.
- Match input polarity, output voltage, barrel connector, powered Ethernet pinout and cable load/length to the actual kit and Mini instructions. A matching plug shape alone is insufficient.
- Disconnect the source during wiring, use the installation instructions for appropriate input protection, and keep connections dry. No waterproof or surge-test certification is established here.
Care
- Keep the supply, adapters and connectors dry unless the actual component instructions establish the intended outdoor sealing arrangement.
- Disconnect power before cleaning.
FAQ
Can I connect the injector straight to the Mini LAN port?
No. Do not put a powered PoE feed into the Mini LAN port. Use a matched splitter DC power output and the separate data path.
Does the injector itself convert every 12 V supply to 48 V?
No. A separate DC step-up conversion stage is required.
What input and feed does the conversion description specify?
It describes DC 9–36 V input and a 48 V / 3 A PoE feed. The 48 V feed is for the PoE line; Mini power comes from the splitter DC output.
What Ethernet support is described?
10/100/1000M Ethernet support is described. Actual network performance depends on the entire equipment and connection setup.
Can it stay exposed to rain?
The complete installed setup has no waterproof rating.
