A Deliberate Foot Sequence

Four Indicator States
No light indicates sleep; a slow pulse indicates standby, solid light indicates active counting, and a fast flash indicates an opening or closing command. Test the sequence and phone pairing while parked.

Installation
- Follow the applicable vehicle low-voltage isolation procedure before connecting the accessory.
- Position the sensor under the rear bumper using the supplied alignment template. Aim it at the ground and connect the power/CAN and switch harnesses.
- Reconnect and pair the accessory as instructed. With the vehicle parked and the liftgate path clear, test the foot sequence, original controls, authorization and obstruction response.
Good to Know
Caution
- The red projected mark is not stated as eye-safe.
- Bluetooth accessory wake does not establish Tesla phone-key authorization. Keep the original liftgate authorization, obstruction response and manual controls functional; disable the accessory if unintended movement or faults occur.
- Operate only while parked with people, pets and objects clear of the full liftgate path and overhead space. A dwell sequence does not guarantee prevention of accidental activation.
- Do not infer compatibility from nominal battery voltage alone.

Does phone proximity automatically authorize opening?
Bluetooth proximity wakes this accessory. Accessory wake is not proof that Tesla phone-key access is enabled.
Can children or pets trigger it?
The dwell sequence does not exclude every accidental activation. Keep children, pets and obstacles away from the sensor zone and liftgate path, and disable the accessory during work near the bumper.
Is this a tool-free plug-in?
The pictured kit includes power/CAN and switch connection cables plus mounting hardware. Have it installed using the correct vehicle harness, electrical isolation and exact kit instructions; there is no universal 15-minute fitting time.
Is the projected mark eye-safe?
The eye-safety classification of the projected mark is not stated. Do not look into the aperture or aim it toward people, animals or reflective surfaces.
