Highlights

Side-Specific Hardware
The assembly combines a cylindrical pretensioner body, mounting bracket and connected belt section. Left and right are not interchangeable.

Single Side or Pair
Choose one front-left assembly, one front-right assembly or a pair containing both. The paired photograph illustrates both sides; it does not change the contents of a single-side selection.

Diagnosis Before Replacement
An SRS warning can have several causes. A loose or poorly retracting belt also needs diagnosis; replacing this lower pretensioner is not a general repair for every belt or airbag fault.
Compatibility
| Model | Years / Version | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Model 3 | 2017–2023 | Application range only; complete part revision and vehicle configuration must match. No all-build or Highland interchangeability guarantee. |
| Model Y | 2020–2024 | Complete part revision, side and vehicle configuration must match. No Juniper or all-factory interchangeability guarantee. |
Fit is defined by the complete original part reference, not by calendar year.

Good to Know
Caution
- The seat belt system has no owner-serviceable components.
- Do not bend, sit on or obstruct a pretensioner assembly. A deployed unit must be replaced; a collision requires inspection of the other affected restraint components.
- An SRS warning or poor belt retraction does not by itself identify this part as the fault.
- The full part revision, vehicle configuration, side, connector and mounting geometry must match. Reference numbers and label photographs do not establish genuine Tesla origin or approval.
- An extinguished warning lamp or cleared fault code alone does not prove collision performance or a completed repair.
FAQ
Can I replace this part myself?
No owner repair procedure is provided. The restraint system contains pyrotechnic components and has no owner-serviceable parts.
Does an SRS light prove the pretensioner is faulty?
No. Have the vehicle diagnosed before choosing a replacement. A warning lamp, poor retraction or belt slack may involve another component or connection.
Can a deployed pretensioner be reused?
No. A deployed unit must be replaced, and other restraint components affected by the collision must be inspected and replaced as required.
Do these reference numbers prove it is a genuine Tesla part?
No. A replacement reference or photographed label is not proof of genuine origin, approval or collision performance.
