Good to Know
Caution
- Not for use as an ashtray or for hot ash, flames, liquids, sharp objects or hazardous waste.
- The driver should not reach for the bin while driving; test door, seat and legroom clearances while parked and stop if the fit conflicts.
- The lid is not an airtight odor seal and a liner does not make the bin leakproof.
Care
- Wipe with a soft damp cloth and mild soap, and dry the body and lid completely before reinstalling.
- Empty the bin regularly.
FAQ
Will it fit every Tesla door pocket?
No. Door-pocket shape varies by model, year and seating position. The hook must seat fully and the bin must clear the door, seat, speaker and legroom.
Can I use it as an ashtray?
No. Do not add cigarettes, hot ash, flames, liquids, sharp objects or hazardous waste.
What is included in the package?
One black ABS car trash can and eight rolls of garbage bags.
How do I change the garbage bag?
While parked, remove the lid, lift out and tie the used liner, install a fresh bag around the opening and replace the lid.
Is the lid airtight or leakproof?
No. The flap covers the opening without forming an airtight odor seal. The bin is for small dry waste, not liquids or leaking food.
