Installation
Good to Know
Caution
- Tesla’s applicable Model Y instructions require a Tesla-approved roof rack and Tesla mounting accessories.
- The listed 75 kg figure does not establish vehicle-specific dynamic or static capacity. Include the rack, carrier and cargo as required by the relevant limits and obey the lowest applicable limit.
- Do not stand on the roof/rack or infer rooftop-tent occupancy support from promotional images. Any tent or other carrier requires explicit approval of the complete system and applicable static/dynamic limits.
- Secure cargo independently with suitable carrier hardware and restraints. Locks are not cargo tie-downs or a guarantee against theft.
Care
- Follow the system’s inspection, retightening and removal instructions; keep contact surfaces and seals clean.
FAQ
What is included?
Two roof crossbars and one set of installation tools. Bike, ski, kayak, tent or luggage carriers are separate.
Does Model YL fitment mean this rack is Tesla approved?
No. Tesla approval of this rack is not stated; Tesla requires an approved roof-rack system and Tesla mounting accessories.
Is 75 kg a vehicle or rooftop-tent occupancy rating?
It is the listed rack figure, not an established vehicle-specific dynamic/static approval or tent occupancy rating. Use only within the limits of the approved complete system and do not stand on the rack or roof.
Does it require drilling?
The described design uses original mounting points without drilling. Follow the approved exact mounting procedure rather than adapting the bars or modifying the vehicle.
